The use of fair trade organic items by big manufacturer is mandated by law. Local farmers and local purveyors complained to the government about the use of foreign resources to manufacture known products in the market. This will cause local businesses to die out. The government, then, declared that local manufactures are required to use local resources as part of their product ingredients. This is to help sustain local businesses. Big manufacturers agreed and a portion of their ingredients now come from local resources. Standard is also created for local purveyors to ensure that they would also produce quality products so that huge manufacturers would no longer need to import resources.
